What to do in Granada / Re: Day Trips from Granada
« Last post by Steven Wellington on June 10, 2018, 01:46:03 AM »
There are plenty of day trips you can go on just on the bus for example Guadix or Cordoba.
For bus info click here
http://alsa.es

The commercial day trips tend to be quite expensive but if you want to have an all included trip some of them may be interesting.

There is a day trip to the  Caminito del Rey if you have a head for heights and several more.

What to do in Granada / Re: Guided Tour, audio guide or go it alone at the Alhambra?
« Last post by John on June 07, 2018, 11:37:04 PM »
It depends if you want to walk around at your own pace without commentary or walk around with a group with a guide who is telling you things.

Only you can decide which you would prefer.

Getting a ticket would be easier if you get a guided tour because you don't have to understand anything except turn up at the start.

You can browse all the companies who offer guided tours here

https://granadainfo.com/alhambra_ticket_search.htm

or go and buy your own ticket without guide here

https://tickets.alhambra-patronato.es/en/

A way of doing your own thing and also having commentary is an audio guide.

Should I just try and book a ticket for the Alhambra and walk around it myself or is it worth paying extra for a guided tour?

Price one way is 5 euros
Return is 9 euros.

It leaves from the bus station.
See link about how to get to the bus station
https://granadamap.com/bus/

The time table is more complicated

Have a look at this website which has all the info.

The ski station is incredibly expensive.

It may be better to get a place in Granada and go up every day.
One of the online places which do longer term accommodation is Spotahome.

Change the language to English on the right when you get to the page.

To see some options for apartments in the actual  Sierra Nevada.

Hello!

Could anyone advise me on finding a room or studio for the winter? Either in the ski village or Granada itself (although this would be difficult for me to get the mountain every day and the bus seems expensive?)

Thanks in advance!
